The Perfect Valentine

Hey there! Yes YOU my friend. Lean closer. I have something to tell you. It’s a message of GREAT importance. A love note just for you. Are you ready?

GOD…loves…you…

PERIOD!!!

I want to tell you this because first of all it is the truth. But there is another reason as well. It has to do with that once a year holiday that falls on February 14th. You know, it is the one where everywhere you go you see pink and red hearts, flowers and boxes of chocolates in every store. It seems like everyone you know is talking about their date night with that special someone to celebrate…Valentine’s Day! Now don’t get me wrong. Like most people, I love flowers and chocolate! But at the end of the day when the calendar flips to the 15th of February, what then? Or perhaps you don’t have someone to shower you with gifts and candy. Well I have a beautiful secret to share with you. And it has nothing to do with one designated day in February. It does not matter whether you receive a dozen red roses or not. It is indeed about Love…a special one true and perfect love. It is about God’s love for you!

Yes I know. Someone told you otherwise. Someone said you are not good enough…or smart enough…or important enough or any other number of “enough” things. Maybe you have told yourself that same thing. You believe that there is too much of your past to allow God to love you in the present and probably not in the future.

NOT TRUE!

Remember that simple little song of long ago that you may have learned in Sunday school?

“Jesus loves me! This I know, for the Bible tells me so. Little ones to him belong. They are weak but He is strong. Yes Jesus loves me, yes Jesus loves me. Yes Jesus loves me. The Bible tells me so.”

Maybe a lot of “LIFE” has happened in your own life since you first heard those simple lyrics. It does not matter!

Time does not change God’s love for you. Nothing you have done or failed to do will change his love. Your performance does not dictate the depth of his love for you. His love for you is eternal and nothing can change that. It is the only perfect love there is. Experience it for yourself and you will never be able to settle for less!

God’s love is never based on YOUR FEELINGS! His love for you is always present whether you feel it or not. It has been with you from the moment you were conceived and will be with you until your last breath.

Romans 8:38-39

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Let me repeat those words. NOTHING WILL SEPARATE YOU FROM GOD’S LOVE. He is and always will be your One true and perfect Valentine.

GOD LOVES YOU! I just thought you should know.
